Summary: After multiple queries from many doctors, we described the recipe for GUD SUNTHI NASYA(Dry ginger & jaggery) drops. It must be prepared fresh daily as we don't add any preservatives to it. It becomes fermented after 8 hours, so cannot be used for more than 8 hours max.
Contents:
Sunthi(Dry ginger powder) - two pea size
Jaggery - two pea size
Water - 20 ml
Cotton Filter Cloth
Preparation:
Take two pea size dry ginger (without lime) powder and add two bottles (approx. 20 ml ) of boiled and cooled water in a vessel. Put it on low flame and boil till it becomes half. Switch off the gas, bring it down from the stove, and add two pea-size organic jaggery. Mix them together and strain them through a cotton cloth. Fill it in a dropper bottle and use it. Alternatively, you can use a dropper directly to instill drops.
Position for nasya: Lie down with a pillow below your shoulder, head hanging behind resting well with nasal bridge exactly perpendicaular to the bed. Instill one drop in each nostril till it reaches the scalp. A maximum of 16 drops in each nostril can be instilled. If the drops reach the scalp stop instilling further. Wait in that position till the burning sensation subsides. Spit out all mucous that comes through the mouth, and nose.
